newsEU Brexit impact assessment

In March 2017 the European Parliament published its own Brexit impact assessment. This does not appear to have undermined the position of the European Parliament with regard to the Brexit negotiations.

The report draws on a cluster of impact assessments that are rated as "state of the art" in terms of standard. Whilst all impact assessments are by definition are a blunt instrument, in that they cannot always consider every eventuality in a rapidly changing and volatile environment, the attached impact assessment will probably prove useful to businesses who are looking to assess the likely impact of Brexit on their business. Citizens who are also following the Brexit process closely may also find it useful to read the European Parliament impact assessment on Brexit which is available at http://www.europarl.europa.eu/RegData/etudes/STUD/2017/595374/IPOL_STU(2017)595374_EN.pdf
